Well the Yamaha generator bit it after only 5 months. We ended up buying a new honda 3000, sucker is nice. Well made quiet, electric start. We love it. Anyhow, been having some issues with my inverter/charger. It's a very old freedom, my electric razor and coffee grinder fried. Anyhow, the charger is suddenly acting up, so i ordered a new Magnum Energy inverter with remote panel, i am going to be setting it up with a sub panel, so i am in the process of making that panel. Hopefully get it started this weekend or first part of next week.

Well I dunno what the hell deal is, we thought we had bad gas, but it would appear something serious has gone wrong with the generator. We have a yamaha generator, its a gas portable, we bought it because it was so quiet and economically more affordable, anyhow it's only a few months old (still way in the warranty) and the oil light is flashing while it's barely running. So i guess its gonna have to go in for some repairs.

So I bought a new ms zune 80 gb model, i had it for a total of two weeks. At first I liked it, with some minor drawbacks. The software for organizing and transferring music is terrible, I did have to do a complete re-transfer of my music which reminded of the days when i owned a toshiba gigabeat. Anyhow, things all went wrong when i was sitting my truck with it on my knee, the player slid off and landed face up on carpet... covered with a rubber floormat. The paperthing GLASS screen, yes glass shattered into a couple hundred pieces.

The forward cabin is starting to be down right habitable. New flooring, ceiling panels in. If i could just make a decision on the forward head we'd be in business!

Well first off saturday was the xmas boat parade, we watched the boats with friends from our boat. I also put the aft cabin panel back together, replaced a portlight and solved a slight electrical issue. still lots of varnish work left to do.

Still working on the v-berth fiberglass work, should be putting it back together tomorrow. That's the good news, the bad news.... well we sanded the rub rail and I decided to use some penetrating epoxy prior to varnishing. I figured it would cut down on the coats of varnish. After sanding all day we threw the epoxy on only to have a massive rain storm pass over shortly after putting away the paint brushes! This ruined the epoxy, turned it white and gummy, it will have the be resanded tomorrow and hopefully we can make it back to where we started :(

Yea so it took out the sattelite dish! Yeehaw, we've got one of those aztrax with the dish and everything exposed, I have decided to upgrade and buy one of the new KVH's from West Marine, that way if it gets fried which is less likely i can take it back.
