Been a while, but never fear i have tons of stuff to add. First off we went to the boat show last weekend in Miami, didn't look at any boats our main goal was to check out the vendors. I wanted to look at the 12 volt watermakers and decide which one I wanted.
That said I did a couple things and have a list of things that still need to be done. First I finally got the racor 500 to replace the crappy spin on one that I had on the engine, I now have three racor 500's which make the filter inventory much easier to maintain. I also installed a water sensor on the new one which may come in handy.
When the Trawler Fest was in town we had to move docks, also topped off the diesel tanks while we were at it.
Next on the list I got some stuff called "silent running" to paint the engine room, I have started on this project, but I am skeptical so we shall see if the stuff actually works or not.
The house bank is officially dead, time for replacement. So I am in the market for 6 6 volt golf cart batteries, need to get those swapped out before the next trip.
More bad news, the Electro-scan is officially dead, it's about 3 years old and even though i am not excited about replacing it at $1,000 bucks, in the long run I feel like we got our money's worth. Not having to pump out and not having to store sewage is a nice convenience. The replacement will be here tomorrow and I will hopefully replace it this weekend.
We are planning on going to the Bahamas the end of May, first part of June again, we really enjoyed our trip last year at that time and hope to do about the same trip this time, however I would really like to make it to Guana Cay, I just don't know if we'll have the time.
Well that is it for this update, I'll keep everyone updated on my project progress!
