Just wanted to thank everyone that checks in and drops us a line. I was just going through the logs on the site and believe or not svroshambo.com gets 30,000+ hits each month. Anyhow since I know so many are watching I'll make sure I watch my spelling :)
I know I get a lot of messages about the products I more or less review so I will try to be a thorough as possible. I rarely recommend vendors unless they REALLY treat me right, in fact with the exception of Artisans Mattress I don't know that I've recommended any particular vendor and that's because I know they will take care of anyone I send their way. I think I did recommend Tacoma Propeller as well, if not I should those guys are on the ball as well.
Again, thanks to everyone who stops by, thanks to everyone who drops me a message and I hope I've either helped put a smile on your face or saved you some headaches!
Oh also, I do get a lot of messages about Southpoint Anchorage, so I should prolly give you an update, although it's not much. A few months ago the contractor that was building the dock had a guy fall off the barge and drown, rumor was he was not a legal worker, I don't know about that, but things were brought to a stop for a while. The have resumed building the dock and it would appear that they will be ready to start driving the pilings for the slips soon, the outer dock is in. It's pretty obvious to me where the mooring balls are headed, but only time will tell. The mooring people will be "outside" of the main marina, the pump-out, water and dinghy docks will all be accessed without entering into the main marina basin. This will actually be a convenience in reality for the mooring field residents. I don't what the rates will be, but I would be willing to bet they will increase, if not immediately then gradually over time until they are unaffordable and removed so more docks can be put in... MAYBE. The other alternative is, at this point marinas in the area are dropping rates like a hot potato, my guess is with location considered into the equation that marina will have to be VERY cheap to get people into it. It's winter here when all the boats are usually down and many of the marinas are still not close to full, the people aren't coming back, so who knows maybe they won't want more dockage.
