The Haul Out

Well it was a good trip for the most part from the St Lucie inlet to Lake Worth inlet, with only two hicups. First was as high water alarm and an engine overheat alarm. Further investigation revealed the two were connected... the raw water intake for the engine split a hose, quick repair and we were on our way. On the way down i also noticed a massive vibration in the driveshaft. Once hauled, i found that the feathering prop was in terrible shape, ,loose as a goose and in need of a rebuild. For now I am tossing the fixed prop back on and will decide what to do with the feathering prop once i have it off.

I've got to have a yard crew yank the prop as the feathering prop is beyond me, they are also going to do the cutlass bearing as the full keel bearing is a bitch. I am prolly going to have them do the thru hull for the forward looking sonar as well, can't wait for that bill.

I have completed the prep work and put the first cote of bottom paint. Tommorrow will be coat two, then reblock. prop comes off on friday and i hope to be back in the water monday and headed back to the anchorage. i'll have pics soon!
