So about 2 years ago i took the pedestal apart, there is a plastic section that the throttle and shifter run through. It was all cracked to hell. So i epoxy'd it up knowing I would be back at some point. Seeing as yacht specialties went broke in 1989 I was hoping I would be able to find something to repair it rather then place the entire pedestal.

Browsing the internet I found a place in Everett, WA (yea I used to live there!!) who made a machined aluminum replacement for $160!!! This saved me about $1800 so i was pretty happy. I am in the process of painting it and will install it as soon as I get the new transmission cable.
