Weather Not Cooperating, but The Show Must Go On!

It's been raining every day this week so I had to abandon the deck painting and take on a new project. This one was the engine repaint. As many boaters know if you have an inboard engine you've got to keep up on paint or you'll have your motor eaten out from underneath you. I decided to go with POR-15 and I am glad I did, this stuff is AWESOME. I first started with the Marine Clean, this stuff removed diesel fuel in less than 5 minutes, spray it on, hose it off. Then you use the metal prep, spray it on and keep it wet for 30 mins. After that you let it dry and you start painting. Painting the motor and transmission is no easy task, it's a back breaker and there are some spots that are nearly impossible to get too, but it's really turning out nice and I'm glad I am doing it. The POR-15 is bulletproof, but I will warn any potential users, you have got to wear gloves. The can warns that it will dry on your hands and NO solvent will get it off and they aren't joking. I've got it all over me and i'm stuck with it for a few days!!!

I hope to finish this up this weekend, since it's inside i can work on it in any weather.

Next is the oven! I ordered the new oven today, not cheap, but the current oven is 30+ years old and they no longer make the oven burners for it, the burners are going out so a new oven is the only choice.

I will take photos when I get them done!
